I attended recently, a remarkable inspiration and motivation seminar.
At first, I have deep skepticisms about going to this kind of seminar for its easier said than done.
While I can not share a full day’s worth of information in here but one of the speaker, Collin Powell, strikes me quite well.
I am completely resonate with his message.
Collin Powell is the former Secretary of State of USA and The Chairman of the Joint of Chiefs of Staff during 1st Gulf War with Iraq. He spoke about Take-Charge Leadership.
One of his points was "How to Become a Leader".
A Leader’s character – Integrity, Credibility, and Ethical (Which most of the ROC leaders been so lacking).
Attitude of a Leader – Follow me. Never look in rear mirror but front windshield and move on. When problems come, face reality and don’t look away.
Set goals and plans for both the yourself and the followers, take cares of your followers by using training, resource, education, make investment in your followers.
Reward, appreciate your followers and be proud of them.
Identify not so good followers, prune them if necessary.
